Policy - a practical journal to support practitioners
"Play for Life" was
originally launched as "Play UK" the UK’s first
journal aimed at providing comprehensive information that is of
practical help to play therapists and everyone working therapeutically, using play, with
children or have an interest in the subject. Its purpose is to be a
lively practitioner journal with a wide mixture of material. See
recent articles.
It became an international journal to serve the needs of
play therapy worldwide in 2003. Contents include editorial
statements, original play therapy articles, synopses, case histories, reviews of
research papers, books etc, news items, details of conferences,
workshops, courses and guidelines for career development.
The Journal also acts as a
forum for discussion and making network connections.
Its subject matter covers all types of therapy that are applicable to
working with children including: art, creative visualisation, drama,
music, storytelling as well as play therapy.
Advertising material will
not exceed 25% of the total space.
'Play for Life' is circulated to all members of Play Therapy
